Senior Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the completion of all month-end and year-end processes for the preparation of management accounts, including the examination of the profit and loss statement, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and ensuring that all necessary accruals and prepayments are accurately recorded.

· Play an active role in the efficient operation of the finance team, stepping in for Finance Managers during their absence and proactively taking on and finalizing tasks as required.

· Aid in the creation of statutory financial reports for the organization in compliance with local accounting standards.

· Prepare quarterly VAT returns and become the go-to expert on VAT-related issues within the team.

· Provide financial guidance to the business, ensuring that the financial implications of decisions made by the commercial team are well understood.

· Deliver insights and analysis on monthly margin and expenditure reports, identifying significant variances from budget and forecasts, and suggesting corrective actions to address any shortfalls.

· Supervise and assess the monthly cash flow forecasting requirements for all currency accounts in collaboration with group cash flow management.

· Offer support to other finance team members to ensure seamless business operations during periods of annual leave, absence, and peak workloads.

Projects:

· Lead the implementation of new ERP systems and any subsequent features that are introduced.

· Drive continuous enhancements in the billing process.

Requirements:

Education:

Experience in accounting or finance within the private sector is preferred. A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting is also preferred.

*Alternatively, a suitable combination of education and experience to effectively fulfill the key responsibilities of the role.

Computer Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and graphical representations.

Language Skills:

Fluency in both German and English is required. Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.
