About the Department

Our division, "Private Banking Germany - Innovative Banking Solutions," comprises over 800 professionals operating within agile frameworks such as Tribes, Chapters, and Squads. This unit is responsible for the design and management of all digital offerings and services, ensuring close collaboration across various sales and control functions. Our IT platforms facilitate product application processes and self-service options for all brands (including Deutsche Bank, Postbank, norisbank, maxblue, etc.) across multiple channels (Public Website, Online Banking, Mobile App, Branch, Call Center, and Third Parties). We are seeking a Chief Technologist for the Tribe Shared Components. In this role, you will be accountable for shaping and advancing our IT strategy in collaboration with Chief Technologists, the Tribe Lead, Product Owners, and Domain/Solution Architects, as well as Lead Developers.

Your Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with architects and lead developers to drive technical and organizational solutions for the Tribe Shared Components, including the definition of primary components and high-level solution designs.
  • Act as an innovator within the Tribe Shared Components, continuously assessing whether new developments could enhance existing products or processes.
  • Stay informed about cloud products/platforms and best practices, guiding the Tribe alongside Lead Developers in these areas.
  • Promote technological aspects for the entire Tribe, such as "built-in" quality and agility, while ensuring applications meet requirements for scalability, resilience, and stability.
  • Work with Lead Developers and Product Owners to evaluate the technical and functional maturity of new structural high-level requirements.
  • Ensure, in collaboration with Solution Architects and IT Application Owners, that Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) are defined and implemented with Product Owners and within the Squads.
Your Skills & Experience
  • Possess a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.
  • Have several years of experience as a Product Owner or Program Manager, particularly in a scalable, agile environment (Scrum of Scrums).
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of software development processes, models, and lifecycles from design to deployment, as well as software operations in production.
  • Experience in creating presentations for audiences ranging from team members to top management.
  • Exhibit excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills, with fluency in both German and English, both spoken and written.
