Biomass Systems Commissioning Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW
AHT CleanTec is in search of a proficient and knowledgeable Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in Biomass and Gasification systems. This role is crucial for the effective execution, evaluation, and functioning of biomass technologies. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of gasification processes and energy generation technology, alongside fluency in both English and German. This position presents a remarkable opportunity to engage in innovative renewable energy initiatives and support the advancement of sustainable energy production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the commissioning, installation, and evaluation of biomass systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with design standards.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams, including engineering, operations, and maintenance, to guarantee the smooth integration of biomass systems into current operations.
- Conduct system diagnostics, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions to enhance system efficiency and performance.
- Create and maintain commissioning timelines, documentation, and reports to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Provide expert technical support to clients, addressing questions, resolving technical issues, and offering guidance on the operation and maintenance of biomass systems.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary equipment, components, and materials for the commissioning and upkeep of biomass systems.
- Assist in training operational personnel on the safe and effective use of biomass systems.
- Stay informed about industry developments, regulations, and advancements in biomass technology to continually improve system performance and operational practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the commissioning, construction, and operation of biomass systems.
- Fluency in English is essential for communication with international clients and partners; proficiency in German is advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of biomass systems, including combustion processes, gasification, feedstock management, emissions control, and system integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve technical challenges during commissioning and operation.
- Familiarity with applicable safety standards, regulations, and best practices within the renewable energy sector.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for managing documentation, reports, and project timelines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and occasional travel as required by project demands.
Working Conditions:
- Standard working hours: 40 hours per week.
- Overtime, weekend work, and night shifts may be necessary based on project requirements and legal guidelines.
- Work may involve physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, and outdoor activities.
