Position Overview:
The role focuses on the strategic procurement of essential materials, particularly in the realm of electronic components, wiring, and modules. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing procurement strategies tailored to specific material categories.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing effective measures to achieve them.
- Leading negotiations for pricing and contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Performing detailed shadow calculations to support decision-making.
- Enhancing the supplier portfolio through proactive development based on qualitative, commercial, and technical criteria.
- Continuously refining procurement prices to align with market trends.
- Serving as the primary contact for logistical and quality-related inquiries.
- Managing negotiations with assemblers and overseeing projects until they reach production readiness.
- Collaborating with external development service providers to ensure project success.
- Conducting contract negotiations with new suppliers to expand the procurement network.
- Monitoring the procurement landscape for serial products and generating internal market intelligence reports.
- Assisting the development team throughout the product creation process by advising on component and supplier choices.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training, complemented by advanced qualifications in the field.
- Extensive experience in procurement, particularly within the electronic components sector.
- Proficiency in both German and English languages.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier selection and evaluation processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across various teams.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
- A keen awareness of quality, deadlines, and cost management.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10%).
