Responsibilities of the Corporate Communications Manager include:
Formulate, plan, and implement corporate communication strategies to align with regional business goals and divisional priorities through media, social platforms, leadership, and employee communications, in accordance with global and regional communication strategies. With a thorough understanding of the corporate narrative, ensure brand and message consistency across all channels and representatives. Maintain a schedule of communication opportunities. Generate, curate, edit, and disseminate engaging narratives about Boston Scientific, our values, and our workforce through both internal and external platforms. Collaborate as a business partner with stakeholders to grasp business needs and provide strategic guidance to safeguard and enhance the company's reputation. Oversee the timetable of media engagements in the EMEA region and coordinate the efforts of PR agencies and freelance resources, in close cooperation with global teams. Serve as a liaison for journalists and cultivate relationships with key media outlets. Proactively address communication challenges related to reputation, preparing and supporting effective spokespeople and coordinating our responses. Take ownership of the internal communications framework for the division and provide advice on content evolution, channel selection, and frequency for optimal impact. Employ a data-driven methodology to assess the effectiveness of communication initiatives and leverage insights to enhance future campaigns and strengthen internal collaborations. Manage and coordinate a budget. Supervise communication vendors to ensure consistency, quality, value, and innovation in their approaches. As a senior member of the corporate communications team, mentor internal partners and junior team members, such as interns, as necessary. Advocate for innovation and continuous enhancement; leading team and process improvement initiatives as part of the EMEA Corporate Communications team.To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills A degree in communications or a related field Proficiency in English is essential, with fluency in an additional EMEA language being highly desirable Extensive experience in managing complex communication environments, ideally with some pan-European or international exposure. Preferred experience in the healthcare sector, whether from an agency or corporate background (e.g., MedTech, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, or health-focused PR agencies) Proven ability to work under tight deadlines with strong follow-through capabilities Anticipated travel of 20-30% primarily within Europe for major congresses and Boston Scientific offices.What we offer:
