Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Wiesbaden. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Your Responsibilities
  • Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with HGB and US-GAAP.
  • Manage asset accounting, including the recording of business transactions and the preparation of financial reports.
  • Advise departments on accounting issues and provide guidance on financial matters.
  • Coordinate with auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with the Shared Service Center to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and develop process descriptions to support audit processes.
Your Professional and Personal Profile
  • Completed commercial training and further training as a certified accountant or a bachelor's degree in economics.
  • Several years of professional experience in accounting, particularly in general ledger and asset accounting.
  • Excellent accounting knowledge according to HGB and US-GAAP, as well as good knowledge of German tax law.
  • Excellent Excel and SAP user skills in the FI, AA, and CO modules.
  • Experience in managing auditors and other audits, with SOX experience desirable.
  • Quick comprehension, independent, analytical working style, high degree of personal responsibility, and ability to work in a team.
  • Good English skills in spoken and written (B2 level).
