Department Overview
The administration of the Berlin House of Representatives, specifically Department I (General Administration), is seeking to fill a vacancy in the Information Technology Department.

Position: IT System Administrator (m/f/d)

Code Number: 590
Pay Grade: E 11 TV-L
Employment Type: Full-time, 39.4 hours per week, unlimited term

Key Responsibilities

The primary focus of this role involves supporting the sound recording software and the IP telephone system within the Berlin House of Representatives. Additionally, you will provide support for servers and software associated with various specialized applications.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Management and enhancement of sound recording software
  • Oversight of the IP telephone system
  • Administration of servers (Linux, Windows) and specialized applications
  • Coordination of IT projects and external service providers
  • User support and assistance
Qualifications
  • Completed university degree (Bachelor, FH) in computer science or related fields
  • Alternatively, completed training as an IT specialist (with a lower grouping in E 10 TV-L)
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in system administration
  • Proficient in server administration (Linux, Windows)
  • Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language
  • Strong service orientation, commitment, and reliability
  • Willingness for continuous professional development and self-directed learning
  • Collaborative team player
  • Proficient in German and English
