Are you green-thumbed and enjoy being outdoors? Whether you're a career beginner or experienced professional, we're looking for you to join our team as a Career Starter: Umschulung in Vegetation Care with Goal Position Track Maintenance Worker (m/f/d) at DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH in Duisburg.

What to Expect During the Umschulung:

  • You will be trained during working hours and at full pay for deployment on the track, focusing on safety, vegetation cutting, and care, as well as handling necessary equipment.
  • The training will take place in full-time (40 hours/week) for a total of 6 months, consisting of theoretical and practical phases.
  • The theoretical instruction will take place at the Duisburg location, while your practical assignments will typically take place in the later deployment area.

After Your Umschulung, You Will Take On the Following Tasks:

  • As a Track Maintenance Worker, you will safely fell designated trees, and counting cuts and clearing cut material will also be part of your responsibilities.
  • You will use specialized equipment, such as motor chain saws and pruning shears.
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining and servicing the equipment.
  • If you discover protected animal or insect species, you will assist in their relocation.

Your Profile:

  • You are comfortable with motor chain saws and other machinery from the gardening and landscaping industry.
  • You work well in a team and are physically fit for tasks in rugged terrain – wind and weather won't deter you.
  • You are proficient in German in both speech and writing.
  • You are eager to develop personally and professionally, ensuring you can reliably perform your responsible tasks.
  • It's ideal if you have a valid Class B driver's license and your own car.

If you already have experience in forestry, gardening and landscaping, or a comparable profession in the vegetation sector, we would also be delighted to receive your application.
