About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at the Fraunhofer Institute for Translationale Medizin und Pharmakologie ITMP in Frankfurt am Main. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations, and providing expert advice to our colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure goods and services in accordance with public procurement regulations and guidelines
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the needs of our research institute
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify procurement needs and develop solutions
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in a field such as procurement, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably in a research or academic environment
  • Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
