We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Design Engineer to join our team at Volocopter GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the mass and center of gravity of our aircraft meet the required targets and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain weight and balance tools to support aircraft design and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define aircraft preliminary architecture for new projects.
- Perform weight control and mass properties estimation throughout aircraft development.
- Define and support weight and balance envelope definition.
- Manage and document weight and balance results for internal use and certification purposes.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Weight and Balance with good technical knowledge.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Aerospace.
- Good knowledge of 3D CAD mechanical software such as Siemens NX, CATIA, or Solid Works.
- Basic knowledge of System Engineering and Requirements Engineering.
- Good understanding of technical aspects related to aircraft systems and composite, and metallic structures.
