Fidelium GmbH is an operational investor dedicated to transforming companies facing significant operational hurdles. We collaborate closely with management teams, offering active operational support rather than mere oversight. Our extensive experience allows us to provide hands-on assistance with specific challenges. We also serve as a sounding board for innovative strategies and business development initiatives. Our expertise encompasses sales enhancement, financing strategies, efficiency improvements, and the execution of buy-and-build approaches. Additionally, we frequently support the carve-out of business units and their transition into independent small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) (m/f/d) for one of our distinguished portfolio entities in Germany.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a diverse team, overseeing both managerial and disciplinary aspects within the Finance and Controlling domains.
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting, financial planning, and capital planning processes, while also managing financial projection consolidation and submission, playing a pivotal role in strategic and business planning.
  • Oversee all accounting activities and transactions, including monthly and annual closing procedures.
  • Drive the development of controlling processes, accounting practices, and team member growth.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, Fidelium Operating Partners, and external partners such as tax advisors, financial institutions, and auditors to ensure compliance and effective cooperation.
Qualifications
  • Possess a degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field, complemented by practical experience in managing commercial operations within an industrial setting (preferably in production).
  • Bring at least 10 years of professional experience in industry, management consulting, or restructuring, demonstrating the ability to set and achieve ambitious goals, while embracing humility from past experiences.
  • Exhibit proficiency in accounting and controlling, supported by extensive experience and a proven track record in team leadership and development.
  • Showcase strong technical and organizational skills, along with exceptional communication abilities.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment, displaying a structured, solution-oriented approach. Demonstrate individual responsibility, holistic thinking, a hands-on mentality, and a willingness to tackle new challenges.
  • Fluency in both German and English is essential.
