Financial Controller for Asset Management

As a key contributor within the Asset Management division, you will play a crucial role in the evaluation and endorsement of financial information and processes as part of the Portfolio Management Team. Your responsibilities will include ensuring precise accounting data and timely reporting for various assets in a cashflow-rich environment. The ideal candidate is meticulous and exceptionally organized, possessing a solid background in asset management, capable of handling intricate data, ensuring compliance, and aiding in financial strategy formulation.
Key Responsibilities
- Verification of financial information from diverse cashflow sources
- Guarantee the integrity and precision of data gathered and structured by accounting and collection teams within ERP financial systems and databases
- Analyze German GAAP financial statements, ensuring correctness and adherence to applicable regulations
- Supervise and manage loans, ensuring compliance with all covenants, payments, and reporting to lenders and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with loan agreements and identify potential risks
- Communicate financial outcomes and analyses to senior management and stakeholders
- Develop and uphold internal controls to protect assets, ensuring the reliability of financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
- Conduct regular audits and evaluations to identify and mitigate financial risks
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting roles, ideally with a focus on cashflow-intensive asset management sectors (real estate or infrastructure)
- Familiarity with financial reporting under German GAAP and relevant regulations
- Experience in managing complex financial data, loans, and covenants
- Proficiency in both German and English

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and data management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information to diverse stakeholders

- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
