Senior Active Directory Engineer

At PHOENIX International Holdings GmbH, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Active Directory Engineer to join our PHOENIX Competence Centre IT & Digital team. This role can be based at one of our locations in Mannheim, Fürth (Nuremberg) or Sofia (Bulgaria).

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement highly available Microsoft Active Directory platforms, including domain migrations and security improvements in close collaboration with the IT Security department and CISO.
  • Administer Domain Controllers with the latest Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Manage complex AD and GPO structures, including root/child and DMZ Windows domains.
  • Support and develop our AD Schema, Active Directory Federation Services, and AD Sync 2 Azure.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server issues as a 3rd Level expert.
  • Contribute to infrastructure integration and consolidation projects.
  • Prior experience with PKI certificate management is a plus.

Your Profile

  • Hold a degree in computer science or equivalent IT training, such as an IT specialist.
  • Have at least 5 years of professional experience in designing infrastructure architectures.
  • Have experience working in an international environment and possibly with external providers.
  • Be independent, result-oriented, and process-oriented in your work approach.
  • Have strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be proficient in English, both written and spoken.
