Technology Leader, Nonwovens Europe

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Leader to join our team at Johns Manville. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development of new products and technologies that address customer and market needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the product development project portfolio, prioritizing projects, allocating resources, and controlling budgets to meet business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including commercial, manufacturing, and process technology teams, to drive business success.
- Develop and implement strategies to address product quality and customer complaints related to product fit for use issues and non-conformance.
- Identify and recommend research and development programs to support the overall business strategy and profitable operations.
- Implement best practices in portfolio and project management, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective decision-making.
- Define and implement equipment needs for the department, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Manage department budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with business objectives.
- Recruit, develop, and train personnel in the function, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Maintain knowledge of leading-edge technology and research, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
Requirements
- Technical University degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product and process development in the nonwovens industry, with proven leadership skills.
- Expert knowledge in the field of scope.
- Customer-oriented with a strong sense of business opportunities and ability to interface at all levels of the organization.
- Creative, self-motivated personality with strong drive and passion for results.
- Demonstrated ability to provide complex and innovative solutions to product development challenges.
- Ability to train, develop, and motivate employees to assure operational flexibility and responsiveness.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in German and English.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a highly cross-functional and international environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
