About the Position

In the role of Business Strategy & Planning Specialist, you will play a crucial part in the continuous strategic business planning cycle and governance. Your focus will be on delivering data-driven insights that guide decision-making on significant strategic projects aimed at transforming our Central Europe (CE) operations. The Business Strategy & Planning Specialist is essential in enhancing business performance, shaping strategic direction, and providing valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the Central Europe strategy, tracking performance and progress against the existing plan, while offering insights and intelligence to guide adjustments and advancements throughout the planning phases.
  • Facilitate key governance meetings (such as all-hands, OKR performance reviews, MBR, and other periodic assessment sessions).
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the organization by fostering trusted partnerships with the leadership team and collaborating as a thought partner on critical strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Create, manage, and operate business dashboards to monitor KPIs, ensuring comprehensive visibility and context regarding performance.
  • Support all business intelligence, strategic planning, and analytical efforts for senior management within the country.
  • Identify internal operational enhancements and contribute to the improvement or innovation of personnel programs to maintain their effectiveness and efficiency (e.g., organizational design, talent strategies, recruitment efficiencies, headcount management).
Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in consulting, investment banking, strategy & planning, operations, or other specialized roles with a proven track record in quantitative disciplines.
  • Strong commercial and business insight - the ability to evaluate business performance, recognize trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide strategic partnership and insights to the CE Leadership team.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making - sound business judgment through comprehensive analytical reasoning, capable of transforming ambiguous challenges into data-driven insights and solutions.
  • Experience with SQL is essential - a demonstrated ability to delve into diverse data sets and develop scripts from the ground up.
  • Exceptional communication skills - capable of producing impactful materials that are clear, concise, and free of errors.
  • Adept at navigating uncertainty - comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications

  • A quantitative Bachelor's degree (in fields such as engineering, mathematics, finance, economics, physics, etc.).
  • Initial experience in utilizing Python to develop small applications (e.g., automation), analyze large data sets, or engage in modeling (Machine Learning).
