Senior Policy Engagement Specialist

As a key player in this transformative journey, you will be instrumental in navigating the evolving landscape of charging infrastructure. This sector is still in its infancy, necessitating collaboration between governmental bodies and industry stakeholders to establish regulations and foster innovation. Your expertise will be vital in positioning EcoG within these critical discussions.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour role will encompass a variety of essential functions, including:
- Developing and nurturing strategic alliances within the industry while advancing pivotal policy initiatives with both EU-wide and national regulatory authorities.
- Providing strategic counsel to EcoG's senior leadership regarding the implications of significant policies such as Afir and EPBD.
- Formulating a comprehensive governmental relations strategy for EcoG, identifying relevant networks for engagement, and orchestrating interactions with political figures.
- Designing and implementing communication strategies that effectively position EcoG within governmental contexts.
- Overseeing public relations agencies in Germany and the U.S. to facilitate impactful interviews, podcasts, and panel discussions that enhance the visibility of our executive team.
- Supervising interns and working students who assist with general communication initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in government relations, public policy, or within a multinational corporation.
- Proven track record in forming significant industry alliances or serving as a spokesperson in governmental institutions, with a robust network in either Berlin or Brussels.
- Deep understanding of governmental processes and the ability to advocate for a deep tech scale-up in the e-mobility sector.
- Proficiency in utilizing a comprehensive communication toolkit, including regulatory affairs, public relations, and strong writing and speaking abilities.
- Exceptional networking skills with the ability to lead projects effectively both internally and externally.
- Capacity to navigate complex issues with agility and a quick learning curve across diverse topics.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with independent problem-solving capabilities and collaborative decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated initiative, entrepreneurial mindset, and creative thinking.
- Highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
- Fluency in both German and English.
