Our workforce of approximately 1,200 professionals is dedicated to advancing the future with a sophisticated, intelligent grid, positioning Baden-Württemberg as a pioneering center for electricity in Europe.

The Systems Operations division is responsible for maintaining the stability of our power grid. The Specialized IT division delivers essential IT infrastructure and sophisticated applications, all managed from our cutting-edge data center in Wendlingen. The constantly changing energy landscape presents new challenges for our IT systems - contribute your skills to help harmonize the relationship between technology and energy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate system control IT into central Attack Detection Systems to significantly enhance network operational security.
  • Collaborate with a team of seasoned administrators and service owners to oversee infrastructure systems for SIEM, log management, monitoring, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Engage in IT projects aimed at improving operational systems, translating requirements into system enhancements, and coordinating change and release management.
  • Ensure the availability and quality of services by providing first and second-level support and participating in on-call duties.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing Linux systems and automating tasks through scripts or programs.
  • Familiarity with SysLog, EventLog, monitoring solutions like CheckMK, and a strong desire for continuous learning.
  • Basic understanding of IT security, vulnerability scanning, and ideally, SIEM.
  • Enthusiasm for implementing innovative concepts, enhancing IT infrastructure, and pursuing effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical abilities, teamwork, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning and development.
  • Motivated to contribute to the success of the energy transition through essential IT support in the power grid sector.
