We are seeking a highly motivated individual to contribute to our research project in Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) at the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on the further development of the additive manufacturing process LPBF, which enables the creation of complex geometries using a layer-by-layer structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement sensor-based process control on an LPBF system
  • Plan and execute scientific experiments in the laboratory
  • Analyze sensor signals and metallographic examination of sample bodies
  • Document and present research results
Requirements
  • Currently studying industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable engineering-scientific degree program
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work
  • Initial knowledge of control engineering and signal processing is advantageous, but not essential
  • Excellent command of German and English
