Job Title: Cost Estimation Researcher

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and critically evaluate various cost estimation methods in chemical plant construction
• Analyze the impacts of location, time, size, and complexity on costs, taking into account industry trends and market analysis
• Apply different estimation methods practically to selected chemical plants and analyze patent data for hydroformylation, utilizing data analytics and statistical techniques
• Evaluate results and provide recommendations for optimal estimation method for hydroformylation-related projects, considering factors such as cost savings and project feasibility
• Analyze how location and project duration affect cost estimates, considering inflation and regional indexes, and develop strategies to mitigate risks

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field, with a strong academic record
• Ideal experience in cost estimation methods and/or computer programs in plant construction, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results
• Proficient in MS Office and AspenPlus, with advanced skills in data analysis and visualization
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data, with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Independent worker, able to question content critically and work well in a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Fluent in German and English, with excellent language skills and cultural awareness
