Senior IT Architect for M&A and Integration

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to join our team as a Merger & Acquisition IT Solution Architect. In this strategic role, you will report directly to the Head of M&A COE IT EMEA. As a trusted Senior M&A IT Architect, your primary focus will be on SAP-related Mergers & Acquisitions, Divestitures, Carve-outs, and Joint Ventures from an IT architecture perspective, while also considering the broader SAP enterprise architecture to ensure successful and sustainable integration within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the IT due diligence process for potential mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, identifying risks, mitigating risk and opportunities
  • Develop comprehensive IT integration plans, including system consolidation, data migration, and process harmonization, according to the integration strategy
  • Manage & execute the integration plan and ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption. Develop critical path and mitigate potential risks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the current IT landscape, identify gaps, and design target state architecture
  • Effectively engage and communicate with C-Level executives
  • Ensure that IT integration efforts are aligned with overall business stakeholders and their objectives, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to internal teams M&A IT and external partners throughout the integration lifecycle
  • Conduct post-integration reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and efficiency in M&A IT activities also together with the SAP Enterprise Architecture

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in IT architecture, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience in volume-based businesses e.g. Software/Telecommunication/Utilities would be beneficial
  • Proven track record of successfully leading IT integration projects in a complex, global environment
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies
  • Expertise in IT infrastructure, applications, security, and data management
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders
  • Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, PMP, or ITIL are a plus
  • Certified in SAFe Framework
  • Good English and German language skills
