Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time hybrid IT Systems Operations Specialist at CLC Space GmbH, offering the flexibility of remote work. The Specialist will oversee the upkeep and organization of our clients' IT tools ecosystem, encompassing system and network administration, delivering technical assistance, resolving issues, and guaranteeing the seamless functioning of the client's IT infrastructure on a daily basis.
Key Tools Utilized:
Device42 - IT asset management tool
GitLab - Software version control and DevOps/CI-CD platform
Orcharhino - OS provisioning tool, akin to Redhat Satellite/TheForeman
Jenkins, Nexus, Harbor - Software build and artifact management solutions
Subversion
Responsibilities:
- Maintain oversight of various IT support tools for our clients
- Strategically plan, schedule, and implement regular security and feature updates
- Communicate maintenance windows and downtimes to users
- Continuously monitor the performance and availability of the tools
- Assist in Proof of Concept processes and integrate new tools into operations
- Facilitate the onboarding of new systems and configuration data into the tools
- Manage user accounts and credentials, ensuring proper access rights
- Conduct regular housekeeping and cleanup tasks
- Engage in automation efforts to enhance tool processes
Required Qualifications:
- Strong Linux system administration expertise: software installations, backups, filesystems, troubleshooting, Docker, High-Availability
- Proficient scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash/Shell, API)
- Ideally, experience with many of the aforementioned tools
- Customer-focused with excellent communication abilities
