About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade and Customs Manager to join our Indirect Tax Services team at KPMG-Germany. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in navigating the complexities of trade and customs regulations.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to national and international clients on Environmental Taxes, including Energie- and Stromsteuer, Plastiksteuer, and CBAM.
  • Develop and implement ESG Compliance Management Systems to ensure seamless compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and applications for relief, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support clients in building ESG reporting capabilities, providing strategic guidance and expertise.

Your Profile

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in trade and customs regulations. You will have a deep understanding of the complexities of Environmental Taxes and ESG Compliance Management Systems.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as European Economic Law, International Law and Business, or Tax Law.
  • Proven experience in trade and customs regulations, preferably in a consulting or industry setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications and strong analytical skills.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
