We are seeking an experienced IT Department Head to lead our client's technology initiatives in the healthcare sector. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire IT department and ensuring the effective management of IT resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the IT department with overall accountability
  • Develop and execute the strategic direction for IT
  • Oversee the operation and enhancement of IT infrastructure
  • Plan and implement digital transformation projects
  • Manage budgeting and financial oversight for IT operations
  • Establish and maintain a materials management and cost accounting framework
  • Collaborate with data protection and information security personnel
  • Supervise a decentralized IT team
  • Manage relationships with external IT service providers
  • Assist senior management in shaping the IT strategy
  • Assess new technologies and trends to enhance IT infrastructure
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Identify and evaluate IT-related risks
  • Regularly review and refine risk management strategies
  • Represent the IT department in various meetings
  • Develop and enhance digital emergency and outage response plans
  • Create an internal reporting system for IT activities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in IT roles, ideally within the healthcare sector
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with IT service management and infrastructure oversight
  • Experience with funding mechanisms in the healthcare sector is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused approach to service delivery
