Job Title: Professor of Software Engineering

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Software Engineering to join our Faculty of Business / Software Engineering programs in Potsdam. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory and advanced courses in Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems, as well as Parallel Computing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting courses in Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, and Parallel Computing
  • Planning and implementing research and development projects, including publication activities in Software Engineering
  • Advising and supervising students
  • Grading student work, supervising seminars, projects, bachelor, master, and doctoral theses
  • Establishing partnerships with companies and institutions to further grow the network of the University at the Potsdam location
  • Administrative activities and committee work
  • Advising prospective students
Requirements:
  • Completed university studies
  • Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications
  • Qualified professional experience in the field of the professorship, at least three years, two of them outside of a university
