About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative School Secretary to join our team at the City of Krefeld. As a key member of our education support staff, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our schools, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities, and contributing to the overall success of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the general correspondence and communication with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders
  • Process and maintain accurate records and databases using digital tools
  • Assist with student enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals
  • Contribute to the budgeting and financial management of school resources
  • Support the preparation of statistical reports and evaluations
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including mail handling, phone support, and visitor management

Requirements

  • Qualification for the career group 1, second entry level of the general administrative service or successful completion of the administrative assistant training
  • Alternatively, a completed three-year training as a:
    • Business administration assistant
    • Office management assistant
    • Communication assistant
    • Administrative assistant for communication
    • Industrial business administration assistant
    • Trade and export management assistant
    • Banking and finance assistant
    • Hotel management assistant
    • Hotel and catering assistant
    • Automotive business administration assistant
    • Real estate business administration assistant
    • Legal assistant
    • Notary assistant
    • Tax assistant
  • Desirable qualifications:
    • Experience in secretarial or customer service roles
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills
    • Flexibility and willingness to adapt
    • Organizational skills and strong communication abilities
