Senior Engineer, Root Cause Analysis in Sustainability

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Engineer, RCA (Root Cause Analysis) role is pivotal in enhancing the Integrity, Reliability, and Sustainability of the operations at Saudi Basic Industries Corp. This position is embedded within the Technical department, which encompasses a diverse team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance across our facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the organization by fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will be responsible for:
  • Facilitating comprehensive RCA sessions to identify and eliminate defects.
  • Coaching and mentoring the RCA team, ensuring clarity in roles and resource allocation.
  • Ensuring the quality of RCA outputs and tracking the implementation of recommendations.
  • Reporting on the status of RCA initiatives to both local leadership and global centers of excellence.
  • Collaborating closely with various departments, including Operations, EHSS, and Technology & Innovation.
  • Acting as the primary RCA contact for the organization.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Process Engineering or a related field, with substantial experience in the chemical sector.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and conceptual skills.
  • Proficiency in both German and English, with excellent presentation capabilities.
  • A minimum of 3 years of industrial RCA experience or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with IT systems, including Office and SAP.
  • Experience in multicultural environments.
