Network Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team at Vivid Resourcing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network implementation, hardware upgrades, site buildouts, and day-to-day operational activities.
This role will focus on managing and enhancing network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. You will be responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network systems, with a particular emphasis on Cisco routing and switching, as well as Palo Alto firewalls.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and execute network implementation projects, including network design, configuration, and deployment.
- Upgrade and maintain current hardware to support evolving business needs and ensure network reliability.
- Manage network buildouts for new sites, ensuring efficient and secure connectivity across locations.
- Perform regular operational tasks such as software upgrades, patch management, and performance tuning.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption.
- Monitor and analyze network performance, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
- Implement security policies and best practices, focusing on firewall management, VPNs, and access control.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for ongoing support and future upgrades.
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in a similar role.
- Proficiency with Cisco routing and switching technologies (CCNA or CCNP certification preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PCNSE certification is a plus).
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) and network security principles.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale network buildouts and implementations.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to network management.
