We are seeking a skilled Process Mechanic to join our team at thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG. As a Process Mechanic, you will be responsible for overseeing the regeneration process in our Cold Rolling Mill 2, ensuring the quality and efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Process Monitoring: You will be responsible for monitoring the regeneration process, including the adjustment of acid parameters such as temperature, iron content, acid concentration, and quantity.
- Quality Control: You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by controlling the pH values of wastewater in the Beize- and EBA-Neutralization areas.
- Process Optimization: You will work to optimize the regeneration process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Team Collaboration: You will work closely with our team to ensure the smooth operation of the mill, including participating in regular control walks and providing technical support during repairs and maintenance.
- Material Handling: You will be responsible for loading and unloading iron sulfate byproducts.
- Sampling and Analysis: You will collect and analyze acid and water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to identify areas for process improvement.
- Support and Maintenance: You will provide technical support during repairs and maintenance, working to minimize downtime and ensure the efficient operation of the mill.
- Education: You must have a completed education as an Industrial or Process Mechanic (or equivalent).
- Skills: You must be able to work independently and result-oriented, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience: Experience in similar processes and equipment is highly desirable.
- Language: You must be fluent in German (written and spoken).
