Microbiologist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist to join our team at Charles River. As a Microbiologist, you will play a critical role in the discovery, development, and safe manufacture of new drug therapies.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and handle microbial customer samples in the microbiology laboratory using various technology platforms.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective testing strategies.
• Conduct research and development activities to improve laboratory processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken German language skills (B1/B2 level).
• Strong knowledge of written and spoken English (B1/B2 level).
• Good IT skills and familiarity with common Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience in dealing with other company-specific program applications and a minimum of algebra knowledge.
• Research and clinical work experience or equivalent.
• Sequencing/MALDI experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory.
