Your Responsibilities

  • As a key member of the Carbon Compliance Management team, you will be responsible for implementing the upcoming European Emission Trading Scheme (EU-ETS II) reporting obligations across Energy Assets and Uniper.
  • You will build a robust EU-ETS II management system to ensure a compliant annual reporting cycle and define a process description for all EU-ETS II concerned Uniper markets.
  • Effective stakeholder management is crucial, ensuring the successful collection, quality assurance, and verification of EU-ETS II data from all involved functions and external bodies.
  • You will develop and implement an integrated data management system to support EU-ETS II reporting.
  • Where necessary, you will establish and maintain reporting links to other ETS management systems (EU-ETS1, nEHS).
  • Staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and new guidelines from the German Emission Authority is essential.
  • You will train CO2 coordinators in the assets on the new EU-ETS II requirements.
  • Develop and roll-out modular service offerings for EU-ETS II reporting for internal and external customers, in close alignment with Uniper Sales key account managers.
  • Be open to exploring upcoming additional reporting obligations related to ETS (e.g., CBAM, Hydrogen @ ETS) and coordinate Uniper's readiness to meet these obligations in a compliant manner.
  • Over time, gain capabilities to support other team members as a backup and ensure 4-eyes-principles.

Your Profile

  • Academic background in engineering, data management, business administration, or quality assurance.
  • Experience in applying management systems in a position of responsibility, within a legal or commercial setting is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Task prioritization capabilities to meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and digitalization are advantageous.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to drive service offerings forward.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluent in German and business English is required, other languages are an advantage.
