Business Intelligence Developer

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Data Warehouse Developer to join our team at R+V Allgemeine Versicherung AG. As a key member of our DevSecOps organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data warehouse solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement complete ETL processes and develop relational and dimensional data marts.
- Develop technical concepts, present alternative solutions, and prepare decisions.
- Provide expert advice to business stakeholders on data requirements and support them in testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and optimize data warehouse tools.
- Work closely with agile project teams to continuously improve collaboration processes.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on complex implementations and architecture questions.
- Manage project progress using JIRA and document results in Confluence.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a degree in a natural science, mathematics, computer science, or a comparable field, combined with relevant work experience.
- Experience in agile software development.
- Expert knowledge in SQL, PostgreSQL on Greenplum, and other database systems, as well as Perl.
- Experience in data preparation, e.g., with the IBM Cognos product family.
- Enjoy working with new technologies and established development standards.
- Strong team player with innovative and abstract thinking, as well as a structured work style.
