We are currently seeking to fill two permanent full-time positions within our Family, Social Affairs, and Health Department, specifically in the Specialist Department for Social Pedagogical Services/Youth Welfare.

Available Positions: Streetworker

These roles are classified under pay groups S 12 and S 11b (SuE) according to the public service collective agreement (TVöD).

Join our multidisciplinary team dedicated to regional and socially focused youth welfare, where you will contribute to resource-oriented practices amidst evolving societal challenges, family dynamics, and the diverse needs of children, youth, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized counseling
  • Enhancing collaboration with other youth welfare services, institutions, and partners
  • Working alongside municipalities and law enforcement
  • Evaluating and addressing personal, material, and financial support needs, coordinating with relevant agencies (e.g., education, employment, healthcare, addiction, and debt counseling)
  • Facilitating access to support systems and minimizing barriers to services
  • Offering guidance and assistance during personal crises and emergencies
  • Making informed decisions regarding potential child welfare concerns
  • Planning and executing activities such as sports and experiential learning in collaboration with other facilities or projects
  • Engaging in conceptual, planning, organizational, and coordination tasks

Note that the position may require occasional evening and weekend work, including on-call duties.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Social Work or a related field (state-recognized) or State-recognized Educator with a minimum of three years of experience working with youth

  • Basic understanding of administrative law
  • Effective decision-making capabilities
  • Willingness to assume responsibilities
  • Proficiency in German
  • Computer literacy
  • Valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to use personal vehicle for work purposes
