**About the Role**

At AVANT, we are proud to announce the establishment of our Battery Valley, where we are launching our own battery cell production and expanding our global headquarters for cell manufacturing. Our purchasing unit serves as the interface to the supplier market, playing a crucial role in value creation. The responsibilities of this position range from raw material procurement to supplier management and plant purchasing to value engineering.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategic plans, coordinating strategic recommendations and plan preparation.
  • Support and develop vertical integration strategies.
  • Screen and evaluate partnership options.
  • Assess the strengths of different partnership structures versus business needs.
  • Manage the project management office (PMO) of cooperations/partnerships, including interface management and results presentation to senior management.
  • Engage and steer technical/commercial due diligence partners.
  • Stay up-to-date on market/policy developments that may impact strategic decision-making.

**Requirements**

  • Experience in the battery industry supply chain (Cathode, Anode, Ni, Co, Li, etc.) and/or strategy consulting.
  • Business-level English.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset to take ownership of complex problems and drive them to completion.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A curiosity to stay informed of market changes in a fast-moving industry.
