Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to join our team at Cognex, a global leader in machine vision. As a Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our embedded systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, developing sophisticated industrial barcode readers, machine vision, and smart cameras. You will be part of a dynamic team that combines custom hardware, specialized lighting and optics, and world-class vision algorithms to create embedded systems for reading barcodes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop white box tests in Python to exercise all aspects of the embedded systems.
  • Enhance existing C, C++ & Python source code and test framework.
  • Debug and fix existing C, C++ & Python source code.
  • Create test specifications or review requirement specs with regards to completeness and testability.
  • Maintain, analyze, and communicate results of test robots.
  • Occasional travel to the USA or Hungary.
