Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead our CMF (color, material, finish) design team in Europe. As a Design Team Manager Europe, you will work closely with a cross-functional team to develop high-quality leather products for our OEM customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with color & trim designers from various OEMs to create innovative leather designs
- Translate customer requirements into new leather products, ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction
- Develop holistic leather design concepts, incorporating color and enrichments (perforation, embossing, embroidery, quilting, printing, etc.)
- Transform concept ideas into production-ready design drawings
- Conduct trend research and develop global design and trend presentations
- Manage day-to-day design activities, including employee-related tasks
- Lead cross-functional teams and manage design team members
- Drive entrepreneurial spirit to position Pangea for business success
- Utilize strong research and design skills in materials and color integration, identifying color nuances and demonstrating color differences
- Develop and promote unique designs, staying up-to-date with consumer trends and material/color preferences
- Fluently communicate in written and spoken German and English
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in CMF design, industrial design, graphic design, textile design, or related field
- At least 8-10 years of professional design experience, preferably in mobility design
- 2-3 years of demonstrated leadership skills, leading cross-functional teams and managing design team members
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as excellent presentation skills
- Experience working in international environments
- Well-organized, self-managed, and motivated creative with a passion for design
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
