We are seeking a highly skilled Customs and Trade Compliance Professional to join our team at GULP – experts united. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with export regulations and providing expert advice on customs and trade matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Foreign Trade Law Compliance and the Export Control Officer in ensuring compliance with export regulations.
  • Conduct export control checks on inquiries, orders, goods, services, and deliveries.
  • Apply for and fulfill license requirements.
  • Clarify export control issues with authorities.
  • Take responsibility for internal and external export control issues.
  • Classify goods according to national and international lists.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and authorities.
  • Implement best practice solutions for compliance with export regulations.
  • Analyze processes and documentation.
  • Train on export control topics.
  • Develop strategic concepts in the area of export control.
  • Support audits.
  • Monitor export compliance management.
  • Ensure the global transfer of technology.
  • Collaborate on projects and cross-departmental activities.
Requirements
  • Completed studies in law, technology, economics, or a comparable degree.
  • Sound knowledge of German and European export control law, basic knowledge of US and Chinese law an advantage.
  • Several years of international professional experience.
  • Confident handling of MS Office, SAP, and export control software (e.g. ELANK2, SAP GTS).
  • Very good understanding of processes, technology, and IT.
  • Assertiveness, reliability, initiative.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Interest in export control and foreign trade topics.
  • Team-oriented, dynamic, and service-oriented way of working.
