Your Role
We are in search of a skilled Junior ABAP Developer (f/m/d) to bolster our Software Logistics team based in Walldorf.
As a vital member of this team, you will assist in the creation of user-friendly applications and tools that enhance the software lifecycle for ABAP-based add-on products within the SAP S/4HANA Cloud ecosystem.
This role is essential in helping partners and clients seamlessly integrate their add-ons into the SAP S/4HANA Cloud, thereby reinforcing our partner network and enhancing the overall reputation of our flagship products.
As a Junior ABAP Developer focusing on Software Maintenance and Delivery Tools, you will collaborate with a dynamic development team within Cloud & Lifecycle Management.
Your contributions will span the entire software lifecycle: from specification and design to implementation, testing, and operational support.
You will engage with product stakeholders and customers to align on requirements, while also optimizing existing solutions to enhance user experience, supportability, robustness, and simplicity.
All of this will be accomplished through modern, agile software development methodologies, including pair programming and test-driven development, within a supportive, diverse, and multinational scrum team.
Qualifications
- A university degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field
- Experience in programming with ABAP and ideally one additional programming language
- Demonstrated proficiency in object-oriented software development and agile practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English
- A willingness to learn and grasp complex systems
Familiarity with cloud development and support processes, as well as experience in software change management, would be advantageous.
