Role OverviewThe primary responsibility of this position is to support and enhance the existing IT infrastructure, applications, and communication systems, with a focus on onsite support for various locations as needed. This individual will serve as the primary IT representative for the supported sites.
The selected candidate will oversee daily operations and collaborate closely with helpdesk, global infrastructure application, and program management teams to address and resolve issues. They will engage with both business and IT stakeholders to define and implement future enhancements at the supported sites and effectively communicate any changes.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include managing support tickets, providing desktop assistance, and overseeing WAN, LAN, telecom, servers, storage, and network infrastructure (including switches and routers). The role also encompasses desktop support and deployment, virtualization, security updates, and patch management. Additionally, the candidate will support and maintain local applications such as barcoding, MES, LIMS, or other regional systems.
The individual will act as the single point of contact for data protection officers and works councils regarding all IT-related matters.
Qualifications & Skills- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Desktop/Network support.
- Strong understanding of business processes.
- Proficient in German and English languages.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with third-party vendors.
- Proficient in Windows desktop and server environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
- Knowledge of server and virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMWare).
- Familiarity with communication systems: LAN, WAN, PBX, Mobile, and MS-Teams.
- Proficient in productivity tools such as Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
