About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Gas Turbine Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our international team, you will play a crucial role in the development of large size gas turbines, their service upgrades, and field support.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply in-house and commercial calculation software for creating calculation models to describe the transient heating and expansion of the entire gas turbine and determining the optimum assembly gaps between rotating and stationary components.
- Develop designs and Secondary Air System solutions with integrated teams.
- Evaluate model results and derive conclusions required for the design.
- Apply data science to assess operational and findings from prototype and fleet engines.
Requirements
- Successfully completed university studies in the field of mechanical engineering or comparable.
- Several years of experience in the development, design, and operation of gas turbines and FEM software.
- Good knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and mechanical engineering or process engineering.
- Knowledge in the application of numerical software, programming languages (Python, Visual Basic, C), and risk assessment methods (e.g. Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
