The Diagnostics Operations Mannheim (DOM) department

The DOM department is a leading manufacturer of "In Vitro-Diagnostika" for Roche Diagnostics Solutions' product portfolio. With around 1900 employees, we are a key pillar within the network of various production sites of Roche Diagnostics. We produce high-quality and reliable products and ensure market supply with a high level of deliverability.

We help our customers, such as clinical laboratories and patient-facing clinical test areas, to efficiently, cost-effectively, and reliably determine results for a wide range of indications, including oncology and virology, as well as cardiovascular, inflammatory, and infectious diseases.

The Position

In the role of Senior Manager Operational Excellence, you will support us in systematically improving our cost structure, continuously improving processes, and increasing efficiency, and thus in our successful adaptation to changes in our environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for generating measurable added value through optimizations in all production-related processes.
  • You are responsible for implementing and further developing our Lean Production System, particularly the OEE program.
  • Together with our Senior Management, you will work on strategic topics.
  • You will coach and develop employees around the topic of Lean.
  • You will continuously acquire state-of-the-art methods around Operational Excellence.
  • You will take over the leadership and conceptual consulting of cross-departmental projects in the field of Operational Excellence.
  • You will independently plan, communicate, document, and evaluate project success.
  • Your area of activity includes active participation and moderation of workshops.
  • In the context of projects, you are responsible for timely provision of results.

Your Profile

These are your strengths:

  • You have successfully completed a university degree (Industrial Engineering, Production Technology, Process Engineering, or other).
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in Lean programs and are proficient in most Lean tools.
  • You are also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt expert.
  • Interdisciplinary and thematically diverse work is one of your strengths.
  • You have experience in cross-functional work, developing strategic concepts, and implementing them.
  • You understand how to connect operational action with strategic foresight.
  • You have been able to achieve significant successes in the optimization field in the past.
  • You understand how to successfully accompany large organizations in the context of Change Management.
  • You are convincing and acting across all hierarchical levels.
  • You have experience in systematically and agilely structuring and documenting projects.
