Job Title: Senior Security Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Design Engineer to join our team at M.C. Dean. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and deploying various technologies to improve our customers' physical security posture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop systems and project requirements as per clients' needs
  • Collaborate with clients, partners, vendors, and internal teams to provide best-in-class solutions
  • Design and develop high-level systems designs with required technical specifications
  • Prepare new builds and projects drawings, specifications, technology product selection, installation sequence planning, commissioning testing/commissioning scripts, process streamlining, and improvements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering adjacent field
  • 5-7 years of security systems and design experience
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying Physical Security Systems
  • Experience with defining engineering scope of work and leading engineering and technical teams
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Experience designing and maintaining engineering solutions
  • High level of expertise with AutoCAD and/or Revit
Desired Certifications:
  • AutoCAD
  • BIM/Revit
  • Bluebeam
  • Access control system certifications (Software House CCURE, Lenel)
  • Video Management Systems Certifications (Genetec, Milestone, Axis)
Abilities:
  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction
  • Finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms
  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
