Senior Electrical Project Manager

Position Overview:

Winthrop Technologies is a premier partner in data centre construction, offering comprehensive solutions to clients across Europe. Our headquarters in Dublin supports a wide range of projects, ensuring excellence in delivery.

Specializing in end-to-end data centre solutions, we manage services from initial design through to construction, encompassing civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines, as well as commissioning.

As a leader in our field, Winthrop is the only dedicated data centre delivery partner in Europe, with ongoing projects in seven European nations, representing over 430 MW of IT load currently in progress.

We are actively seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to oversee critical aspects of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site, promoting safe practices among all subcontractors.
  • Evaluate and enhance working methods to improve safety standards.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across all subcontractor activities.
  • Conduct weekly safety inspections and complete 'don't walk by' cards.
  • Collaborate with package managers to develop and implement company procedures.
  • Manage change effectively, addressing cost and schedule implications.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential electrical qualifications, such as City & Guilds Certificate, HNC/BTEC, or NVQ.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a similar role within the mechanical and electrical contracting sector.
  • Experience in data centre projects is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Additional Requirements:

  • Oversee site quality assurance in collaboration with the QA Manager.
  • Manage project schedules alongside the project team.
  • Prepare two-week forecasts for upcoming tasks.
  • Ensure labor requirements align with project timelines.
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout the project.
  • Supervise subcontractor activities and track progress against schedules and manpower needs.
  • Notify project management of any variations or delays.
  • Ensure all onsite materials meet agreed specifications.
  • Coordinate the safe storage and handling of delivered materials.
  • Assist in the completion of project documentation, including O&M Manuals, Punch Lists, Safety Files, and QA Files, with support from the site project manager.
