Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales inquiries effectively and efficiently.
  • Liaise with the Operations Team to handle all booking aspects, including flights, ticketing, accommodation, tours, and activities.
  • Arrange and deliver high-quality, complex itineraries that meet client expectations.
  • Cross-sell and upsell Japan Experience services and products to clients.
  • Provide expert advice and ensure client expectations are met.
  • Have excellent knowledge of the product offering available in the Japan Experience catalogue.
  • Manage sales and insurance contracts effectively.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service and ensure client satisfaction.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer booking-related financial activities, including processing payments, refunds, and credit notes.
  • Provide expert travel advice, including visa requirements, passports, and other travel-related information.
  • Deal with last-minute changes and issues.
  • Deal with customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Edit travel documents and ensure accuracy.

Benefits and Requirements:

  • Salary: 30k per annum + bonus based on performance and achievement of company objectives and KPIs + other company benefits.
  • Education: Equivalent to a college or university degree.
  • Eligibility to work in Germany.
  • Language Skills:
    • English: Advanced (Business conversational level).
    • German: Native or proficient for the Berlin office.
    • Any other European language desirable but not essential.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical IT Skills:
    • Google Drive and Documents.
    • Internet common applications.
    • MacBook user knowledge (desirable but not essential).
  • Professional Skills:
    • Good knowledge of Japan, including prefectures, infrastructure, and attractions.
    • Awareness of Japanese culture and society: Medium level.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Reliable and punctual.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Excellent presentation and organisational skills.
    • Ability to prioritise workloads.
    • Target-driven and strategic attitude with the ability to work towards KPIs.
    • Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
    • Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts.
