Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and supervise production employees, such as packers and equipment operators, and technical teams, including maintenance technicians.
- Create work schedules, assign tasks, and coordinate manufacturing activities.
- Allocate resources, such as equipment and personnel, to maintain production standards.
- Control manufacturing costs and identify ways to reduce them.
- Evaluate employees' performance and coach the team.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure finished goods meet quality standards, including participating in audits from third parties.
- Monitor production output and adjust processes as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Provide training and resources to ensure production and maintenance teams understand safety protocols.
- Review and audit production processes to identify strategies for improvement.
- Make decisions related to production, such as staffing and scheduling decisions.
- Prepare production reports for senior management.
- Supervise middle managers, including production and maintenance managers.
Essential Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role and experience in confectionery (candies) of minimum 3 years.
- Understanding of external standards, including IFS & retailers' code of practice.
- A passion for delivering results and the drive to exceed expectations.
- High attention to detail.
- Systematic problem-solving.
- Computer literacy in all Microsoft packages, with experience with ERP.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Fluent in German and English.
