About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Engineer II to join our Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using modern frameworks and libraries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using modern frameworks and libraries.
  • Work with your team to integrate GenAI capabilities into the frontend, enabling novel interaction patterns and user experiences.
  • Explore and prototype new frontend technologies and techniques to enhance the user experience and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Contribute clean, maintainable, and well-tested code to an already well-maintained and clean codebase.
About the Team

You will be part of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Next Gen Dev Experience team, where we are using generative AI and foundation models to reimagine the experience of all builders on AWS. Our team is passionate about exploring new technologies and finding creative solutions to complex problems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in professional front-end, web, or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience in computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in agile software development methodology.
  • Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
