Mechanical Systems Engineer

HE Space is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical AIT Engineer to join our team in Immenstaad, Germany.
Key Responsibilities:- Define Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) and process assembly, integration, and testing tasks for space projects.
- Coordinate mechanical AIT work on satellites in consultation with the AIT manager and other disciplines.
- Prepare and implement mechanical integrations of flight hardware on satellites, documenting work results.
- Develop concepts for mechanical AIT and MGSE, creating corresponding planning documents.
- Implement external and internal requirements for mechanical AIT, MGSE, and thermal hardware.
- Support subcontractors for MGSE, thermal hardware, and test equipment.
- Create integration and test procedures, reports, and evaluate test results.
- Procure MGSE for satellite projects, creating necessary specifications and supporting the tender process.
- Coordinate and participate in the internal development of MGSE, implementing the admission test for CE certification.
- Specify and accept thermal hardware and test equipment, revising generic MGSE and thermal hardware specifications as needed.
- Participate in test and launch campaigns, requiring willingness to work abroad for extended periods.
- Participate in Non-Conformance Review Boards to identify error causes and solutions.
- Collaborate with other Airbus locations and European subcontractors.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with special skills in CAD software (CATIA) and SAP applications.
- Experience working with scheduling tools (MS Project) and technical understanding of satellite mechanisms and system elements.
- Driving license and safe handling of cranes and aerial work platforms desirable.
- Skilled handling and experience in high-quality mechanical integration, preferably from space components.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and integration standards in the aerospace industry.
- Insight into electrical component function and application, with experience in measurement technology desirable.
- Assertiveness, independent, and structured work style, with ability to work in a team and high-quality awareness.
- Willingness to take business trips and associated shift work.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, with knowledge of German an advantage.
