Join Our Team as an Electrotechnology Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrotechnology Automation Engineer to join our team at Hamburg Dresdner Maschinenfabriken GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for our industrial plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automation solutions using PLC controls and visualizations
  • Develop standard libraries and project-specific special functions within the corresponding systems
  • Maintain and further develop our software solutions
  • Realize software function tests
  • Conceive and prepare electrical documentation
  • Construct and process electrical control systems
  • Support technical service teams during troubleshooting and start-ups of production plants
  • Check and clarify technical order specifications
  • Develop and improve control concepts
Requirements:
  • Completed studies in electrical engineering/automation technology or qualification as a state-certified technician (m/f/d) in electrotechnology or electrical engineer (m/f/d)
  • Knowledge of programming control modules with Siemens as well as safety control systems and error-free PLC solutions
  • Experience with the CAE system EPLAN
  • Knowledge of relevant national and international requirements, standards, and regulations (IEC, UL)
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Independent, structured, and target-oriented way of working
  • Communication skills and team spirit with fun and experience in working with international and interdisciplinary teams
