The Team:
The product design team at Celonis is an integral part of our Product & Engineering division. Our goal is to create and deliver exceptional enterprise software experiences that empower individuals across organizations to leverage process mining and the Process Intelligence Graph. The Role:
As the Lead Experience Designer for Process Management, you will spearhead the design and user experience of products that assist our users in swiftly identifying process-related connections, objectives, and resources, while offering real-time process assistance powered by AI. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will define a world-class design vision for our process modeling user journeys. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers and researchers to ensure a seamless and integrated experience. Your role is crucial in interpreting and translating our customers' requirements into effective process management solutions and tools for process excellence.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Lead Experience Designer, you will serve as both a problem solver, aiding Product Managers in identifying suitable solutions, and a proficient interaction designer, who articulates UX and UI specifications, designs and prototypes components and interactions, and collaborates with engineers to bring these designs to fruition.
You will take ownership of the user experience for our key user journeys related to process management. Collaborating with UX researchers, you will gain insights into the needs of executives overseeing end-to-end processes and employees managing daily operations.
In this role, you will be accountable for everything from conceptualization to user interface design, working closely with engineers to guarantee the optimal experience for our users. Additionally, your ability to effectively collaborate with various Product Managers and adapt seamlessly across different domains will be essential for your success.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A solid foundation in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Design, Data Design, Communication Design, or a related discipline.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of demonstrated experience as a UX/UI Designer within a software development team.
- Domain Experience: Familiarity with B2B or enterprise software products, particularly for users such as executives and employees.
- Skills: Strong grasp of process visualization, interaction design, usability engineering, and testing methodologies. Practical experience in creating complex and interactive data visualizations.
- Adaptability: Ability to provide clarity in ambiguous situations and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Language & Communication Skills: Proficient English communication skills; German language skills are advantageous. Capable of presenting ideas and rationale convincingly to stakeholders.
- Design System: Experience in working with and contributing to Design Systems in Figma.
- User-centricity: Deep empathy for users and a user-centered design approach, with a strong focus on enhancing product usability.
- Portfolio: A robust portfolio showcasing your design expertise and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with business process management, process excellence, or related technologies.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the enterprise software landscape and trends.
