**Job Summary**

Optimus Search is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardware Engineer to join our team in the automation and environmental technology division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collaborating on the development, testing, and quality assurance of electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electronic systems, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to the purchasing department in sourcing printed circuit boards.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and documentation of various development projects.
  • Foster close cooperation and communication with departments including software development, production, and technical documentation.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, testing protocols, and training materials.
  • Maintain and upgrade our in-house measurement technology, with a focus on environmental and automation technology.
  • Support the sales team with technical expertise, helping to address client inquiries.

Requirements:

  • A degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field from a cooperative university, university of applied sciences, or similar institution, with a focus on hardware design.
  • Strong skills in electronics and circuit development (both analog and digital).
  • Experience with schematic and PCB design using Autodesk EAGLE, including the design of multi-layer boards and layouts.
  • Advantageous: Knowledge or experience as an electrician (DGUV 3 certification).
  • EPLAN experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in both German and English.
