About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global CLP Expert to join our team at ADAMA. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with EU CLP regulation and similar regulations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate substances and formulations based on available scientific data to ensure compliance with EU CLP regulation and similar regulations worldwide.
  • Prepare safety data sheets (SDS) and classification proposals for single substances as well as for final products according to EU CLP and GHS standard.
  • Monitor upcoming developments under the EU Chemical Strategy for Sustainability in the area of hazard communication/classification & labelling and lead cross-functional implementation projects.
  • Conduct quality control of SDS and other relevant data (internally & externally).
  • Support the global rollout of the SDS software and maintain the database.
  • Stay up-to-date on transport classification and labelling requirements.
  • Provide technical support & training on topics related to EU CLP regulation and hazard communication internally.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders globally.
  • Monitor new developments in EU & global hazard communication and maintain expert knowledge in that field.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture or other relevant fields.
  • At least two years previous experience in topics related to EU CLP and/or GHS. Additional experience in EU REACH or similar regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good organizational skills and proactive work attitude.
  • Basic skills in project management.
  • Very good language skills in English (spoken and written) are a must, language skills in German are a plus.
